Q: Does the app actually detect lies?
A: Truth Scan is for entertainment purposes only. It measures biometric stress indicators but is not a scientifically validated lie detector.
Q: How do I connect my Apple Watch?
A: Open the app, tap Start Test, and select Apple Watch as your heart rate source. Make sure your Watch is paired and worn snugly.
Q: How do I cancel my subscription?
A: Go to iPhone Settings → Apple ID → Subscriptions → Truth Scan → Cancel.
Privacy Policy
Truth Scan does not sell or share your personal data with third parties.
- Heart rate data is used only during the test session and is not stored or transmitted
- Voice recordings are analyzed locally and are not uploaded
- Purchase history is processed by Apple and RevenueCat solely to manage your subscription
- We do not track you across other apps or websites
Third-Party AI Services
Truth Scan Pro includes an optional AI-powered analysis feature. If you choose to enable it, the following biometric session data is transmitted to Anthropic, Inc. via their Claude API:
- Heart rate readings (BPM)
- Voice stress scores
- Question verdicts (truth / stress detected / uncertain)
No names, audio recordings, video, or personal identifiers are ever included in this data. Transmission only occurs after you explicitly tap "Allow" on the in-app consent prompt. You may tap "Skip" at any time to keep all data on-device.
Anthropic processes this data solely to generate your session analysis. Anthropic's privacy policy can be found at https://www.anthropic.com/privacy. Anthropic provides the same or equivalent data protection standards required under applicable privacy law.
